Minimal CD Image

About

The minimal CD is similar to the alternate installer CD, except that it downloads all of the packages to be installed just before they're installed, rather than inflating the CD image with them. This is good for users who want to minimize their download time for the initial image and download only the packages they need at install time. The image size for a typical minimal CD is under 10 MB. For differences between Ubuntu release versions, please see [1].

Download the minimal CD:

To use the Minimal CD download mini.iso from one of the following links and burn it to a CD. For help with CD burning, see UbuntuHelp:BurningIsoHowto
