Introduction
If you would like to add an application to the KDE startup executions, this is the guide! It's just like creating a link on the desktop, just in another folder. These instructions will work on Kubuntu 8.04 (Hardy Heron) LTS.
Launch Konqueror
- Open the KDE menu.
- Choose Run command...
- Type konqueror into the box.
- Open the Home Folder.
- Open the View menu.
- Choose Show Hidden Files from the menu.
- Open the .kde folder.
- Open the Autostart folder.
Create A Shortcut
- Right-click on the white space in the folder.
- Choose "Create New"
- Choose "Link to Application..."
- Replace the "Link to Application" text with an appropriate name for the shortcut.
- Click on the Application tab.
- Click the Browse... button.
- Browse to the file you'd like to launch when Kubuntu starts.
- Select the file.
- Click the Open button.
- Click the Advanced options button.
- Unmark the Enable launch feedback check box.
- Click the OK button.
- Click the OK button.
