This is a brief walkthrough for the Ubuntu OEM Installer <
> Note: as of Ubuntu 8.04, the DVD contains an OEM installation mode, which can be found in the boot options. In the Text Install CD, there is a specific Menu Option, Install in OEM Mode, we choose that. <

> The rest of the Installation is similar to the normal installation modes, except that, a password is asked for the user "oem", which is the default user (with administrative privileges using 'sudo'). At the End of the Installation, a message is displayed, which details, what we should do next.<

After a restart, GDM, is loaded and we login as "oem". After doing the necessary changes(install drivers, add packages etc.), we run
sudo oem-config-prepare

> This removes the "oem" user, and on next boot launches the OEM Configuration Wizard.<
> <
> On the next boot(which would be the 'First Boot' for the user), A dialog asking for "Language and Location" comes up. After choosing this, another similar dialog comes up. <
