No issues with installation all goes smoothy from CD

Wired ethernet
Works out of the box
Wifi card
The 3Com 3CREW154G72 came bundled with my laptop, the card is a prism chipset and required ndiswrapper to enable its use. Instructions on this can be found here. https://help.ubuntu.com/community/WifiDocs/Driver/Ndiswrapper
Display
Max Resolution is 1024x768
No hardware rendering for SiSM760GX chipset some information can be found at http://www.winischhofer.net/ I have not tried either the free or "premium" drivers.
Without hardware accelerated 3D rendering games don't work well. Movies and pictures display well.
I also have another monitor running off the laptop which is a 19 inch widescreen. It works fine and looks good using standard resolution
Pepherials
I have a microsoft wireless mutlimedia keyboard 1.1 and a standard microsoft wireless optical mouse both these work well with Ubuntu straight out the box, all shortcut keys also work. I also have used an unbranded wireless mouse that worked out of the box.
On the laptops integrated keyboard the media function keys don't seem to work, the shortcut keys on this also work out of the box. The touchpad works well and I have found it far easier to use than anyother touchpad running win XP.
I have one external hard drive a 250gb Seagate Sea disc this works on boot and hotplugs.
Other
I am currently using the 686 kernel which seems to put less strain on the processor
