This page describes the setup to use for a non us Keymap on the LTSP thin clients in Ubuntu.
Changing the default Keymap in Ubuntu LTSP is quite easy, just follow the instructions below:
- Log in on the server with the privileged user account you created during install
- hit ALT-F2 and type (or copy and paste) the following command:
gksudo "gedit /opt/ltsp/i386/etc/lts.conf"
- Copy and paste the following content:
[Default] XKBLAYOUT = "de"
- Edit "de" to the keymap setting you want
- Save the File
- Reboot the clients and enjoy your customized Keymap setting
