Parent page: Internet and Networking SoftPhone are software phones that typically use SIP & VOIP These are a few options:

• Ekiga (previously known as Gnomeeting)
• Linphone
• Qutecom (previously known as Wengophone)
• Twinkle

They all seem to be in development, but the pace seems to be slow. None of the ones I tried (all but Linphone) supported PulseAudio out of the box. None of them worked with our asterisk box either, but I'm guessing this was a configuration problem on my side.
