Helix Player is in Ubuntu's UbuntuHelp:Universe Repository. For the player, install the helix-player package. For the plugins, install mozilla-helix-player.

Install
Run
# ./hxplay-1.0.9.816-linux-2.2-libc6-gcc32-i586.bin
Create plugin links
Create
# cd /opt/firefox/plugins # ln -s /usr/share/helixplayer/mozilla/nphelix.so # ln -s /usr/share/helixplayer/mozilla/nphelix.xpt
Troubleshoot
If you still get errors such as "Bad Transport (rtsp://a366.v231478.c23147.g.vr.akamaistream.net/ondemand/ 7/366/23147/v0001/w.on24.com/media/news/corporatevideo/events/43/46/2/rt/2556782.rm)" I'm afraid that you might have to try the real RealPlayer instead !
