Prepare Media

To install Ubuntu on the Timeline, you can use a cd burnt from a normal Ubuntu ISO image, or create USB storage install media.

Installation

Turn on the machine, and press <F12>. Select the correct boot device and press <Enter>. In the <F12> menu:

  • USB-HDD refers to a USB storage device.
  • CD-ROM refers to internal DVD drive

Installing Ubuntu is straight forward using the Install icon on the desktop Read on at AspireTimeline/Fixes to be able to boot into Ubuntu after the installation has finished.
