Interests & Goals

I'm mainly interested in server applications for home and personal use. I have recently changed my NAS for a headless server based on Ubuntu. I'm currently setting up all packages for this purpose :

• file server (SAMBA, NFS, FTP, etc.)
• download station
• streaming station
• etc.

My goal is to write a sum-up page describing the whole process with links and reference to detailed pages for each functions, and create those pages if not existing. Even if I consider Open Source software as the best-in-class in many cases, my desktop environment is still Mac OS X. Have fun reading the Ubuntu documentation!
