Problems playing video

Add this line to /etc/apt/sources.list:

deb http://elisa.fluendo.com/packages gutsy main

Update and upgrade:

sudo aptitude update && sudo aptitude dist-upgrade

You need to install these packages:

sudo aptitude install elisa elisa-extra python-central python python-ctypes python-gnome2 python-gnome2-desktop python-gobject python-gst0.10 python-imaging python-pigment python-setuptools python-twisted-core gstreamer0.10-plugins-base gstreamer0.10-plugins-good gstreamer0.10-gnomevfs python-twisted-web python-pysqlite2 gstreamer0.10-plugins-bad gstreamer0.10-ffmpeg gstreamer0.10-plugins-ugly python-avahi python-elementtree python-celementtree python-dbus python-daap python-gpod hal python-xml python-twill python-beautifulsoup

This is almost all the suggested packages for Elisa! (not only for video playback!)

Editing elisa.conf

The config-files will be created after Elisa's first run! Go to your homedir, and locate the ".elisa" folder (hidden folder) Inside you will find the file elisa.conf, where custumization is possible!

Start in Fullscreen

Inside the elisa.conf, search for the line: start_fullscreen = '0' Change '0' into '1' and save the file!
