Gnome Launch Box is a an application launcher. It's very influenced by Quicksilver for Mac OSX.
Gnome Launch Box 是一个应用程序启动器，类似于 mac osx 的 quicksiler 功能。
Launch Box is the result of a Hackathon at Imendio during the weekend of 8th-10th of January. Therefore it's buggy but very eyecandy!
It's in both Hoary & Breezy Universe. Install it by searching for "Launch Box" in Synaptic or by running:
sudo apt-get install gnome-launch-box
Launch Box是位于Imendio的Hackathon在一月份第8到第10个星期周末的时候的作品. 因此有不少的bug但却有非常友好的界面!
可运行于Hoary和Breezy环境. 安装时请在在“新立得”管理器内搜索"Launch Box"。或者在终端中运行下面命令:

- Open the
Configuration EditorunderApplications > System Tools. - Go to
/apps/metacity/global_keybindings. - Change the value of a run_command to a key combination.
- Go to
/apps/metacity/keybinding_commands. - Change the value of
command_X(the one you haven choosen before) tognome-launch-box.

usage 用法
- You can start it up with the defined keyboard shortcut, or by pressing
Alt+F2and typinggnome-launch-box - You are not supposed to click on anything.
- Just type and it will automatically search through your evolution contacts, programs and firefox bookmarks.
- Select one and press enter.
- With ESC you can exit.
- 您可以通过缺省键盘快捷方式运行,或者通过按
Alt+F2然後键入gnome-launch-box运行。 - 您通常不用点击任何东西.
- 仅仅需要键入，它将自动把evolution（邮件客户端程序）联系人, 程序和firefox的书签仔细的搜索一遍.

Tips 技巧提示
- Gnome Launch Box会在运行一个应用程序後退到後台.
