Troubleshooting

Disable Bidirectional Printing Support

If the printer is configured in Windows with bidirectional support enabled, issues may occur where the printer stalls when starting to print. To resolve this disable bidirectional support:

  1. Choose Start > Control panel > Printers & Faxes.
  2. Right-click on the printer and choose Properties.
  3. Select the Ports tab.
  4. Uncheck Enable bidirectional support and click OK.

Shorten Printer Share Name

While long share names can be used, some users have reported resolving issues by reducing the printer share name to less than 8 characters.
