Breezy Badger

1. Add the universe repository (AddingRepositoriesHowto)
2. Install vegastrike

Hoary Hedgehog &

1. Add the backports repository (AddingRepositoriesHowto)
2. Install vegastrike

• You can also use the manually installation method below, but that is not recommended.

Warty Warthog

Vegastrike is not included in Warty Warthog. You need to install it manually.

Download

Downlaod VegaStrike Base Installer and Music Pack Installer either from the Homepage or download the Base Installer with that command:

wget -c http://kent.dl.sourceforge.net/sourceforge/vegastrike/vegastrike-X.X.X-base.bz2.run

"X.X.X" stands for the version number! and for Music Pack Installer with that command:

wget -c http://kent.dl.sourceforge.net/sourceforge/vegastrike/vegastrike-X.X.X-music.bz2.run

"X.X.X" stands for the version number!

Installation

Install first the Base Installer:

sudo ./vegastrike-X.X.X-base.bz2.run

"X.X.X" stands for the version number! and now the Music Pack Installer

sudo ./vegastrike-X.X.X-music.bz2.run

"X.X.X" stands for the version number!

Start

In a console just type:

vegastrike

There might be also an icon in the Games or Debian->Games section of your Application Menu
