psubuntu.com recommend to follow this route (which skips the part about formatting the hard disk):

1. Go to [Settings] > [System Settings] > [Format Utility].
2. Choose [Custom] and [Allot 10GB to the Other OS].

this avoids erasing everything, right? Is there a point to blow away the whole hard drive? Also, re: Testing Gutsy Gibbon... this section is out of date now, as Gutsy was released last fall.
