Audacious

Audacious can play music files on your computer, CD's or streaming audio. Audacious is a fork of beep-media-player. It is a mediaplayer that looks a lot like the classic winamp or XMMS. For more information, see the Audacious project home page.

Installation

Audacious is installed by default on Ubuntu Studio. To start it, click Applications -> Sound & Video -> Audacious to start Audacious.

Hints and Tips

If you're looking for a traditional Menu Bar, it's just not there. You can change all options by clicking on the icon in the upper left corner.
